Step 1 – Server Procurement
Make sure you procure server products that support Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT).1 It is important that you purchase the product that has the trusted platform module (TPM) or the TPM is supported as an option.

Step 2 – Check TPM Presence
Check if TPM is provided or order TPM and retrofit using OEM specific instructions. Avoid this step by correctly taking Step 1.
Step 3 – Activating Intel® TXT and TPM in BIOS
Activate Intel® TXT and TPM in BIOS, and validate activation is successful.

- Intel® Platform Trust Enabler (Intel® PTE) is a PXE based solution that allows remotely automate the Intel® TXT, TPM provisioning.

Step 4 – Activating Intel® TXT in OS
Activate Intel® TXT in OS and validate activation is successful. Instructions for operating systems are available from respective vendors.
