Academia: Industry and University Collaborations (ACA) Intel recognizes the importance of the role universities have in preparing the next generation of professionals and researchers for the ever-changing technology market. Join the sessions in this track, to hear how collaboration between universities and industry can create shared success by understanding the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging technologies.  Topics explored include new opportunities such as: How our lives may be changed by open source strategy; Enabling high performance computing—improving large scale parallel applications and Research; and Mobility leadership—changes within our handhelds that ripple throughout our daily usage.
All-in-One PCs (AIO) A quiet revolution is sweeping through the desktop PC market. All-in-One PCs have experienced tremendous growth over the last few years. With sleek, stylish designs and enhanced capabilities such as touch, voice, gesture, and responsiveness, All-In-Ones are rapidly becoming the consumer-preferred desktop form factor. This track will highlight opportunities in both hardware and software innovations for Independent Hardware and Software Vendors, developers, and ecosystem partners.
Exploring the Technical Details of Intel® Next Generation Microarchitectures (ARC) Join this track to get details on Intel® microarchitectures including Silvermont and Haswell. Additional topics include Intel® HD graphics architecture and low power computing, and  Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (Intel® AVX2).
2014 Business Client Solutions (BCS) Delve into the suite of powerful new business client solutions and tools that enable OEMs and users to deploy Intel® business solutions and unlock the value of platforms using those solutions. Come hear about business clients for 2014, delivering faster and smarter solutions for business client needs including: tablets built for use in business, convertible Ultrabooks™ that deliver on the 2-in-1 promise, security, new business User Experiences, Intel® vPro™ technology, Intel® Small Business Advantage, and Intel® Setup and Configuration Software. Join the sessions in our track to prepare for the business client needs of tomorrow.
Public Cloud Infrastructure Innovation (CLD) In this track we will provide training on the vast innovation in cloud infrastructure.  We’ll focus on efficient server delivery to match a wide array of cloud workloads including the delivery of microserver platforms, discuss an industry transition to software defined infrastructure for storage and networking technologies, provide the latest on NVM (Non-Volatile Memory) and complete our journey with technical discussion of the Rack Scale Architecture and how this disruptive change in rack-level computing will re-engineer the data center as a system.  Attendees will walk away with the latest insight on the fastest area of data center infrastructure innovation.
Communications Infrastructure (COM) The growing number of smart connected devices is causing an explosion in data and video to be managed by service providers.   Learn how standards-based platforms from Intel encourage innovation, and enable service providers to save on CapEx/OpEx while providing a more efficient delivery of services. Follow this track to hear from technology experts on how Intel is evolving standards-based platforms, such as the Open Networking Platform (ONP), to accelerate the industry for Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).  The track also includes an additional topic on video transcoding and solutions for deployment in broadcast and mobile delivery systems.
Enterprise Data Center Transformation (EDC) In this track, learn how Intel is re-architecting the data center to enable enterprises to unlock the "Insight Economy" driven by the convergence of massive data, the explosion of devices, and cloud computing.  Hear about Intel innovations across the data center from compute, storage, and networking as well as the latest on the Intel® Distribution for Apache Hadoop* software.  In this track we will share updates on advancements in computing platforms, 10 Gigabit Ethernet networking, and next generation storage, which all provide greater security, efficiency, and data center simplification.  Find out about the latest OpenStack* developments for private cloud as well as OpenStack Swift Erasure Code, enabling smart scale out storage with higher performance and TCO. 
The Embedded Opportunity: Intelligent Systems (EMB) How are you adapting your design and business strategy to ensure that all of your solutions deliver the intelligence needed for today's smart, connected world? Is there an efficient way to develop intelligent systems that meet the demands of both current and future applications? What do intelligent, seamless, and life-enhancing solutions look like? Follow this track to hear from Intel® technology experts on architecting intelligent systems within the Internet of Things to deliver the intelligent, robust solutions needed to power our intelligent Internet.
Imagining and Inventing New PC Usages and Capabilities (EXP) We are building a world where wants and needs are anticipated.  We are making lives easier and better.  We are making technology a truly personal experience.  Come hear about new usages and capabilities to drive new use experiences onto the PC.
Intel Labs:  Innovating for the Future (FUT) Researchers at Intel Labs are innovating today for the new and advanced compute experiences of tomorrow.  Learn what our researchers are doing across the computing spectrum to create technology that is more secure, more efficient and highly adaptive to an ever-changing environment. 
Gold Sponsor Sessions (GSP) This track includes sessions from the Gold Sponsors of IDF.
Graphics and Visual Computing (GRA) Come and hear about the latest graphics products and features from Intel including the new Intel® Iris™ and Iris Pro graphics .  Intel is committed to a great visual experience for our customers.  Technical sessions will cover topics such as low power architecture, new display technologies, media, gaming, and heterogeneous compute capabilities.  The material will scale across platforms from tablets to Ultrabooks™ to workstations.  The sessions will include live demos and will also highlight case studies and results achieved using Intel® tools for workload balancing, performance, and low power tuning.
High Speed I/O Technologies (HST) This track demonstrates how Intel® technologies combine to accelerate end user innovation and scale power, performance, and functionality as new generations of solutions become available across the Intel® architecture continuum, from handheld devices to cloud computing. Key technology discussions include: USB architectures and their derivatives, as well as PCI Express* Technology and Thunderbolt™ Technology updates.
Intel® Perceptual Computing (PER) Similar to how touch interaction impacted end users and their devices, Intel will reinvent the human-computer interaction again with Intel® Perceptual Computing. This track will provide details on perceptual computing technology and the Intel® Perceptual Computing SDK, which developers can use to incorporate perceptual features into their own software. Topics covered in this track will include voice, facial recognition, gesture control (poses, motions, hands, fingers), facial analysis, object tracking, and background control. In addition, advances in video call optimization will be covered.
The Security Journey:  Ensuring Platform Security through Intel® Architecture (SEC) Never before have computers faced such great threats. Not only is the number of threats increasing, but innovative adversaries are diversifying their means and tools for exploiting vulnerabilities.  At the same time, businesses, nations and individuals have never been more dependent on computing power and connectivity. At the intersection of these great forces, we need new ways for hardware and software to protect our global digital infrastructure. This track will review ways that today’s commonly available technology can improve computing security and suggest some opportunities for new solutions in the future against a broad spectrum of Intel® Architecture based computing platforms.
Intel® Software and Services: Providing a Competitive Advantage Through Software (SFT) Intel® software unlocks the full range of capabilities of multi-core processing that can drive your business forward. Intel software enables you to span multiple platforms and operating systems while minimizing your software development challenges. Intel, working closely with the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) ecosystem, completes the platform solution by offering a wide range of software, services, and support. This track provides attendees with a solid understanding of Intel’s current software direction including education on the latest processor architecture enhancements, O/S and ecosystem enabling, advances in software tools, software solutions for new platform capabilities and optimizations such as touch and Big Data, ISV case studies, services, and much more.
Special Sessions (SPC) This track includes the special sessions at IDF including Technology Insights, memory, and other special topics.
Intel® Solid-State Drive Technology (SSD) Join the sessions in this track to find out where and why solid-state drives (SSDs) excel. Learn about key considerations when designing SSDs into your platform, from client to workstation to data center. The track also explores evolving non-volatile memory uses, like software acceleration, and emerging interfaces such as PCI Express*/NVM Express.
System Technologies and Tools: UEFI, System Design and Simulation (STT) Get the latest technical information on the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) industry standard and advancements in system technologies including modeling, simulation, and optimization tools. Learn how Intel and Industry leaders are building on UEFI open foundation to develop more secure, efficient, and robust platforms. In addition, this track covers tools and simulation technologies for system design, analysis, and development where you learn new approaches to systems development as well as simulation tools to expedite design decisions and capabilities for architectural studies and performance projections
Intel® Atom™ Processor Based Tablets (TAB) Intel’s market opportunity continues to increase as new tablets enter market segments.  Intel® Architecture is capable of delivering a balanced product approach enabling a great performance driven user experience.   Today’s consumers are embracing sleek touch devices that are always connected for consuming and creating immersive content as well as browsing the web.  Intel has an aggressive roadmap with emphasis on providing amazing user experiences and deep technology leadership to meet today’s consumer needs.  If you are a developer looking for ways to capitalize on these usage models through our scalable architecture, please join our sessions.  You will hear from the technical experts who are working on Intel’s next generation mobile tablets, based on Intel® Atom™ processors and Windows* 8 and Android* operating systems.
Technical Computing (TEC) This track offers attendees an insight into Intel® technologies for technical computing and the future of Exascale computing.  Key technology discussions include Intel® Xeon® processor solutions for HPC, Big Data, workstations, and Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors for highly parallel workloads.  In addition, the track will feature updates on fabrics and storage developments, critical technologies Intel is delivering with the industry to ensure balanced platform delivery for the future of HPC.
Ultrabook™ and 2 in 1 Devices (ULB) The Ultrabook™ category continues to evolve and spur broader industry innovation. The latest wave of innovation is in a range of 2 in 1 devices such as detachables and convertibles which combine the performance of a full PC with the convenience of a touch tablet and the flexibility to switch between modes depending on location and personal preference.  Today’s consumers are embracing devices that allow greater adaptability, functionality, innovation and value for money.  Intel has an aggressive roadmap to address this new market opportunity at multiple price points from Ultrabooks to value convertibles and detachables.  This track will provide a technical deep dive into the platform, how to leverage Intel® Architecture to scale across a broader family of 2 in 1 products, ecosystem components that are critical for delivering on 2 in 1 value proposition and some key learnings for optimizing the design with the user in mind.
